Sky
Italia, which was formed out of the merger between Telepiu
and Stream already serves over 2.2 million subscribers. The broadcaster is using
Pace's set-top boxes to launch a new, unrivalled digital TV service for the
Italian market with over 100 television and audio channels including premium
sports and movie channels, news, documentaries, music and dedicated kids
channels .
"Italy is an important market for digital TV," said John Dyson, Pace's chief
executive, "so we are delighted to be working with Italy's prestigious
broadcaster Sky Italia in helping to grow Italy's digital TV developments and
exploit the full potential of this market.
"As Sky Italia continues to grow, extending its range of digital television
services, we will work closely with them to ensure they continue to benefit from
the latest developments in digital satellite set-top box technology."
Pace's set-top box for Sky Italia incorporates Pace's successful digital
satellite technology initially developed for the UK market. The box features
Open TV's middleware and utilises the Videoguard Conditional Access encoding
system from NDS.
About Sky Italia
SKY is the new Italian satellite platform owned 80.1% by News Corp and 19.9% by
Telecom Italia created on April 30, 2003 following the merger between Telepiu
and Stream. The launch of the new service began in Summer 2003 with an offering never
available before in Italy of more than 100 television, audio, interactive and
pay-per-view channels ranging from sports to cinema, news, entertainment,
documentaries, children, music and much more.
Sat world is ready to offer this terrific package just a few
months after it begun .For receiving the
sky Italia package you need just a fixed satellite dish aiming at Hot Bird
satellite , at 13 east , and the Nds receiver from Pace that we can provide
along with the support that we are already famous of .

through e-mail , but remember that your
subscription should be paid annual , for the package that you wish .
